Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot plastic injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Coordinate mold change activities (SMED) to minimize changeover time.
- Optimize molding process parameters to improve productivity and reduce rejection.
- Ensure production is carried out as per customer specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and implement actions to improve machine utilization.
- Analyze production losses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with the Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Planning teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Handle manpower allocation, shift planning, and operator performance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and TPM activities.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, rejection reports, and machine utilization data.
- Investigate production issues and implement root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and CAPA.
- Support new product trials, process validation, and production ramp-up activities.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures, company policies,



and environmental regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes.
- Experience in machine setting and process optimization.
- Knowledge of automotive quality systems and customer requirements.
- Hands-on experience in mold changing and troubleshooting molding defects.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, and plastic part specifications.
- Familiarity with OEE, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, and 5S.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and production reporting.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience with injection molding machines such as Toshiba, Haitian, JSW, Engel, Fanuc, or similar.
- Experience handling automotive OEM or Tier-1 customer products.
- Knowledge of robotics, pick-and-place systems, hot runner systems, and auxiliary equipment.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plan requirements.
