SRM Ramapuram is a multi-institutional campus encompassing six academic institutions and a portfolio of business units, with a combined faculty and staff strength exceeding 1,700. We are building a structured HR function and are looking for an experienced recruitment professional to lead the Recruitment vertical.

The Manager Recruitment will own the end-to-end recruitment function across all institutions, build and manage a team of recruitment executives, and serve as the primary accountability point for faculty and staff hiring across the campus.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the full-cycle recruitment function across six academic institutions covering teaching faculty and non-teaching staff
- Build, supervise, and mentor a team of Recruitment Executives and Assistants; set individual targets and review performance regularly
- Own the recruitment calendar aligned to the academic year; plan ahead for Annual Year intake seasons and mid-semester requirements
- Manage sourcing channels job portals, institutional networks, campus connect, referrals, and direct search
- Ensure all recruitment processes comply with UGC, AICTE, and (where applicable) Anna University norms and documentation requirements
- Maintain recruitment MIS; produce regular dashboards and status reports for the Head HR and institutional leadership
- Drive turnaround time targets — Standard Track (35 working days)



and Quick Track (15 working days) — from mandate to joining
- Coordinate with Heads of Departments and Heads of Institutions for requirement finalisation, shortlisting, and panel scheduling
- Manage offer and pre-joining processes including document verification, salary fitment, and Chairman approval coordination
- Continuously improve recruitment processes; identify and implement best practices in higher education faculty hiring
- Handle Non-Teaching recruitment coordination across institutions in addition to teaching faculty mandates

Preferred candidate profile

- 12 to 15 years of experience in HR / Talent Acquisition, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
- Prior experience in a higher education institution, university, or educational group is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, multi-stakeholder recruitment environments
- Working knowledge of UGC and AICTE faculty qualification and recruitment norms is an advantage
- Strong organisational and communication skills; comfortable interfacing with academic leadership
- UG or PG in any discipline; MBA HR or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with HRMS or ATS platforms is an added advantage
- Candidates currently working in Chennai or willing to relocate preferred
