Payments SRE

Role Summary

As a payment organization committed to elite-tier system availability and seamless user experience, we are looking for Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) to join our mission. In this role, you will leverage your deep understanding of microservices and distributed systems to navigate the complexities of hyper-scale. We need experts in large-scale system design who are passionate about building resilient infrastructure that remains stable under the pressure of millions of transactions.

Core Responsibilities
Production Support & Incident Management
Execute rapid incident response to identify application and infrastructure bottlenecks, driving swift service restoration and root cause analysis.
Lead triage and cross-functional coordination for high-priority production incidents, strictly adhering to defined escalation paths to minimize downtime.
Optimize observability by designing custom dashboards and granular alerting rules to reduce Mean Time to Detect (MTTD).
Platform & Infrastructure Operations
Manage Kubernetes-based workloads, overseeing pod health, service availability, and resource utilization while troubleshooting complex container networking issues.
Facilitate seamless deployments and change management activities by validating configurations and monitoring rollouts to ensure zero or minimal service disruption.
Maintain clear operational communication, documentation,



and shift handoffs while collaborating with engineering and platform teams.

Technical Skills
Core Requirements (Must-Have)
Microservices & Distributed Systems: Solid conceptual and operational understanding of distributed architectures and service-oriented design.
Programming Proficiency: Advanced coding skills in at least one major language, with a strong preference for Go (Golang).
Linux Systems Engineering: Deep knowledge of Linux internals, including log analysis, process management, networking protocols, filesystem hierarchy, and resource monitoring tools.
Container Orchestration: Hands-on experience troubleshooting Kubernetes (K8s) or similar containerized environments within a production support or SRE capacity.
Operational Excellence: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of taking end-to-end ownership during high-pressure production incidents.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
Modern Interconnects: Experience working with REST APIs and high-performance RPC frameworks like gRPC.
Domain Expertise: Prior background in the Fintech industry or high-compliance environments (PCI-DSS).
Infrastructure Fundamentals: Strong understanding of core networking infrastructure, including DNS management and Load Balancing strategies (L4/L7).
