Role & responsibilities :

- Review schematics, BOMs, and product requirements to identify value engineering opportunities for cost, lead time, and sourcing optimization.
- Perform should-cost analysis, hardware design improvements, and component optimization to enhance product performance and supply chain resilience.
- Evaluate and qualify alternate electronic and electro-mechanical components while ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance.
- Support hardware lifecycle activities, including design, testing, documentation, redesigns, component obsolescence, and engineering change management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on hardware validation, compliance, sourcing decisions, and continuous product improvement.





Preferred candidate profile :

- Solid knowledge of embedded hardware design, mixed-signal systems, 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers, and analog/digital circuit design.
- Experience in PCB design, BOM analysis, value engineering, should-cost analysis, component engineering, and cost optimization.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as OrCAD, Allegro, and DxDesigner, with knowledge of PCB manufacturing and testing.
- Familiarity with hardware validation, reliability analysis (MTBF), compliance standards (UL, CE, RoHS, REACH), and electronic test equipment.
- Good communication and documentation skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams; exposure to SiliconExpert, aPriori, or Costimator is an added advantage.
