Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Background Verification Specialist to join our growing team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have experience in employment and education verification processes, preferably supporting U.S.-based background screening operations.

The role involves conducting comprehensive background checks, validating candidate information, interacting with employers and educational institutions, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of verification reports.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct employment, education, professional credential, and reference verifications for candidates.
- Contact employers, educational institutions, licensing bodies, and other relevant organizations to verify candidate information.
- Verify the authenticity and accuracy of documents including resumes, educational certificates, identification documents, and employment records.




- Research and gather information using online databases, public records, and other verification tools.
- Identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or potential fraud indicators and escalate issues when necessary.
- Communicate professionally with candidates, employers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of verification requests.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with data privacy and information security requirements.
- Stay updated on industry standards, verification methodologies, and applicable regulations.

Preferred Experience

- Prior experience in U.S. employment verification, education verification, background screening, credential verification, or related operations.
- Experience interacting with U.S.-based employers, universities, and candidates is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with background screening processes and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 1 - 5 years of experience in background verification, credential verification or related fields.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with U.S.-based stakeholders over phone and email.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and internet-based research tools.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple verification cases simultaneously.
- High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data
