About the Role::

The QC Manager plays a strategic role in driving product excellence by designing, executing, and continuously improving the companys quality control framework. This position ensures that all products consistently satisfy customer expectations, regulatory obligations, and internal performance standards. Beyond overseeing inspection processes, the QC Manager leads nonconformance control, corrective and preventive action systems, supplier quality management, audits, performance analysis, team capability development, and continuous improvement efforts. As the key authority on quality matters, the QC Manager is empowered to halt production, place materials on hold or release them, and guide the quality team in safeguarding process integrity and product reliability.

Key Responsibilities::

1 Quality Management System::

- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS9100 requirements, as applicable.
- Control and update quality documents such as SOPs, work instructions, drawings, forms, and records.
- Monitor and track quality objectives and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Ensure implementation of quality policies and procedures across departments.

2 Product Inspection and Verification::

- Define and establish incoming, in-process, and final inspection points.
- Develop inspection plans, check sheets, and quality control procedures.
- Ensure proper use of measuring instruments and appropriate inspection methods.
- Conduct and approve First Article Inspection (FAI) where required.
- Review inspection results and make decisions to approve, reject, or hold products/materials.

3 CAPA and Problem Solving::

- Investigate product defects, internal nonconformities, and customer complaints.
- Perform root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, etc.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence.
- Verify the effectiveness and closure of corrective actions.

4 Supplier Quality Management::

- Support supplier approval and performance evaluation processes.
- Ensure proper inspection and control of incoming materials.
- Raise supplier NCRs for nonconforming materials and follow up on corrective actions.
- Conduct supplier audits and drive supplier quality improvement.

5 Audit Management::

- Plan and conduct internal quality audits.
- Prepare the organization for external audits, customer audits,



and certification audits.
- Ensure audit findings are documented, corrected, and closed on time.
- Maintain audit schedules, reports, and records.
- Data Analysis and KPI Monitoring
- Track and analyze quality KPIs such as:
- Rejection rate
- Rework rate
- Scrap rate
- Customer complaints
- Supplier defects
- Cost of poor quality
- Prepare quality reports for management review.
- Use data analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.

6 Continuous Improvement::

- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methods.
- Reduce defects, waste, and process variation.
- Improve product quality, process capability, and operational efficiency.
- Promote a culture of quality awareness and prevention.

7 Training and Competency Development::

- Train QC inspectors, operators, and relevant employees on:
- Quality standards
- Drawings and specifications
- Measuring tools
- Inspection techniques
- Defect identification and reporting
- Ensure training records are maintained and competencies are evaluated.

8 Cross-Functional Coordination::

- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Design, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support new product development and quality planning activities.
- Ensure customer requirements are understood and achieved throughout production.
- Participate in meetings related to quality performance and improvement actions.

9 Compliance and Documentation::

- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, NCR reports, CAPA reports, and audit documentation.
- Ensure traceability, documentation accuracy, and proper record retention.

10 Authority and Team Leadership::

- Lead, supervise, and develop the QC team.
- Assign inspection responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Has authority to:
- Stop production in case of major quality issues
- Hold or release materials/products
- Escalate significant quality risks to management
- Ensure quality control support during new product introduction and process changes.





Required Skills::

1. Internal auditor certification
2. Lean / Six Sigma training or certification
3. Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
4. Experience in supplier quality and customer complaint handling
5. Ability to work cross-functionally and drive improvement projects

Preferred Qualifications::

1. Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or related field
2. Proven experience in quality control / quality assurance, with supervisory or managerial experience of More than 10 Years
3. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or other applicable standards
4. Experience with inspection methods, quality tools, CAPA, audits, and root cause analysis
5. Knowledge of measuring instruments, GD&T;, drawings, and technical specifications
6. Good analytical, leadership, and communication skills
7. Proficiency in quality reporting and Microsoft Office / ERP / QMS systems
