ABOUT THE ROLE

Arcline Geomatics is the data-processing engine behind a growing UKIndia geomatics and surveying business. We turn raw field data topographic surveys, GNSS and total-station observations, laser scans and drone data into precise, client-ready CAD deliverables.

We are looking for a capable Civil 3D engineer to produce clean, accurate topographic and as-built drawings and surfaces in AutoCAD Civil 3D, working to UK survey specifications. You will work alongside and under our Scan-to-BIM Lead, with full training given on our survey data processing workflow and real scope to grow into point-cloud and Scan-to-BIM work over time.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone with solid Civil 3D skills who takes pride in accurate, tidy, spec-compliant drawings.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Produce topographic survey drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D to UK / client specifications correct feature coding, layering and symbology.
- Create and edit surfaces / DTMs, contours, breaklines and spot levels.
- Produce as-built and utility (PAS 128) survey drawings where required.
- Process raw topographic, GNSS and total-station data into clean, coordinate-correct datasets (full training given on Trimble Business Center and our processing workflows).
- Apply the correct coordinate systems, transformations and quality checks; identify and resolve errors in field data.
- Work with point-cloud data from 3D laser scanning and drone surveys to extract features and generate CAD deliverables, supporting the Scan-to-BIM workflow under the Scan-to-BIM Lead.
- Carry out QA / QC of your own and colleagues' drawings against survey specifications.
- Liaise with the UK team on deliverable requirements, revisions and feedback.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR





- 25 years' experience producing survey / topographic drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills COGO points, survey feature-lines, surfaces / DTMs, contours and coordinate systems — plus solid AutoCAD. This is the core of the role.
- A genuine interest in learning survey data processing — Trimble Business Center, GNSS / total-station reduction and point-cloud registration. Full training and mentoring provided; prior exposure is a bonus, not a requirement.
- Sound understanding of topographic survey principles, feature coding and coordinate systems.
- Willingness to work to UK survey conventions and specifications (feature codes, layering, OS / OSGB coordinate systems) — training given, but you must be adaptable.
- Good written and spoken English for coordination with the UK team.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying or GIS — or equivalent hands-on experience.

NICE TO HAVE

- Any survey data processing or point-cloud exposure (Trimble Business Center, Leica Infinity, RealWorks, Autodesk ReCap, Cyclone / Register 360).
- PAS 128 utility survey drawing experience.
- Drone / photogrammetry data processing (Pix4D, DJI Terra, or similar).
- Scan-to-BIM / Revit exposure.
- Comfortable using AI tools to speed up routine work — we actively encourage it.
