Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead Orthopedic Surgery Medical Coding to lead a team of medical coders specializing in Orthopedic Surgery coding. The ideal candidate should possess solid expertise in CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, modifier application, and payer-specific coding guidelines while driving productivity, quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of Orthopedic Surgery medical coders.
- Review and assign accurate CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and modifier codes for orthopedic surgical procedures.
- Ensure coding quality, productivity, and turnaround time (TAT) meet client SLAs.
- Perform coding audits, identify trends,



and implement corrective action plans.
- Provide coding guidance on complex orthopedic cases including arthroscopy, fracture care, joint replacement, spine, sports medicine, hand, and trauma surgeries.
- Conduct daily huddles, performance reviews, coaching sessions, and one-on-one feedback.

Preferred candidate profile

- 6-10 years of Medical Coding experience.
- Minimum 2 years of Team Lead experience in Surgery Medical Coding.
- Hands-on experience in Orthopedic Surgery coding is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Orthopedic Surgery.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and mentoring skills.
