Job Description: Power BI DeveloperPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Power BI Developer with 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience to build, optimize, and maintain enterprise-level dashboards and analytical reporting solutions. In this role, your core focus will be translating raw business metrics into clean, high-performing data visualizations, structuring relational data models, and implementing sound business intelligence best practices inside the Microsoft ecosystem.Work Location & Schedule• Location: Hyderabad, India
• Work Mode: Working from Office (All 5 days - Mandate)Key Responsibilities

- Dashboard & Report Development: Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards, and cross-functional reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Data Modeling & Transformation: Construct robust relational data models (Star and Snowflake schemas), define table relationships, and perform ETL operations to shape messy data feeds utilizing Power Query and custom M code scripting.
- Calculations & Business Logic: Author and troubleshoot clean Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) metrics, calculated columns, and time-intelligence measures aligned directly with functional KPIs.
- Access, Security & Delivery: Configure standard Row-Level Security (RLS) policies to protect sensitive data fields, manage workspace distribution roles, and set up scheduled data gateway refreshes.
- Performance Maintenance: Identify slow-loading reports using built-in diagnostic tools like Power BI Performance Analyzer, optimize visual rendering, and ensure minimal resource footprint on data imports.
- Technical Documentation:



Maintain documentation detailing data dictionaries, data lineage paths, and metric definitions to support a seamless developer handoff.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

- Experience: 4 to 6 years of professional experience dedicated to enterprise Power BI report creation and data analytics.
- Core BI Stack: Strong developer-level mastery of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service workspace management, and data gateway infrastructures.
- Data & Language Proficiency: Strong competence in writing structured SQL queries for data verification and extraction from relational databases, combined with solid scripting capabilities in DAX and M code.
- Problem Solving: Practical debugging and operational troubleshooting experience to isolate query performance bottlenecks or handle failed data refresh logs quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to map business validation rules into core developer configurations and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Plus Competencies (Highly Regarded)

- Exposure to Healthcare systems will be a value add
- Exposure to external modeling or query tuning packages (such as DAX Studio or Tabular Editor).
- Basic familiarity with AI-assisted features (like Microsoft Copilot in Power BI) or initial exposure to enterprise components of the Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data Lake ecosystem.
