Key Account Manager Retail General Insurance

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to drive business growth in the Retail General Insurance segment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships with motor dealerships and retail partners, generating new business opportunities, and achieving regional sales targets while maintaining solid client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, acquire, and onboard motor dealerships and retail partners for insurance distribution.
- Drive sales of General Insurance products, including Motor, Health, and other Retail Insurance products.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with dealers, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Generate new customer leads through market mapping, referrals, networking events, and digital outreach.
- Conduct regular meetings with partners to identify business opportunities and improve productivity.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.




- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and business performance updates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications

- Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline.
- 4-10 years of experience in General Insurance or Insurance Broking.
- Experience in Retail General Insurance sales and business development.
- Strong understanding of Motor Insurance and Health Insurance products.
- Proven experience in dealer acquisition and partner relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.

Preferred Experience

- Strong network with motor dealerships and retail partners.
- Experience in Insurance Broking or General Insurance companies.
- Knowledge of the Bangalore insurance market will be an added advantage.
