About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices. The ideal candidate should have strong experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, backend architecture, testing frameworks, and Agile development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Node.js microservices.
- Build modular and scalable backend architectures following industry best practices.
- Develop robust APIs and manage dependencies across multiple service domains.
- Write unit and integration tests using Jest.
- Collaborate with QA, Product, Design, and Front-End teams in an Agile/Scrum setting.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, tools, and processes.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure high-quality software delivery.

Must-Have Skills





- 6–8 years of experience in Node.js backend development.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with Express.js, Sequelize, and Joi.
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Jest for unit and integration testing.
- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with Docker; knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift is an advantage.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SSO integration patterns.
- Experience working on large-scale government, citizen-facing, or digital service platforms such as TAMM or similar platforms.
