- 1-4 years of US Healthcare RCM experience with deep focus on underpayment recovery
- Acts as SME and escalation point for complex and high-dollar underpayment cases
- Performs advanced underpayment analytics, trend identification, and root-cause analysis
- Expert in managed care contracts (DRG, APC, Per Diem, % of Charge, stop-loss, carve-outs)
- Oversees appeal strategy and governance, including payer-specific escalation paths
- Reviews and approves complex appeals; ensures timely filing and compliance
- Supports and mentors underpayment specialists; develops SOPs and playbooks
- Validates contract build accuracy and identifies payer adjudication issues
- Builds and interprets Expected vs Paid / variance reports
- Drives recovery performance through data-driven insights and optimization
