Roles and Responsibilities :

- Design DFT (Design for Testability) solutions for complex digital ICs using MBIST (Model-Based Inspection System).
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for boundary scan testing, scan insertion, and scanning techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DFT designs into ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) development projects.
- Troubleshoot issues related to DFT implementation in SOC (System-on-Chip) designs.

Job Requirements :

- 4-12 years of experience in DFT engineering with expertise in MBIST, scan stitching, JTAG (Joint Test Action Group), and boundary scan techniques.
- Robust understanding of ASIC/SOC design principles and their impact on DFT implementation.
- Proficiency in Synopsys VCS tools or similar EDA software for design verification and validation.

Must-Have Skills

Candidates should have strong hands-on experience in:

- End-to-end ASIC/SoC DFT implementation
- Scan architecture, scan insertion, scan chain stitching, scan compression
- ATPG generation, simulation, DRC analysis,



fault coverage closure
- MBIST/LBIST implementation and verification
- JTAG, Boundary Scan, iJTAG, SSN
- Post-silicon debug and silicon bring-up
- DFT verification and DFT sign-off
- DFT constraints (SDC) and timing analysis
- RTL, synthesis, LEC, and physical design understanding
- Scripting using TCL, Perl, or Python

Responsibilities
- Lead DFT architecture and implementation for ASIC/SoC projects
- Drive scan insertion, ATPG, MBIST/LBIST integration, and sign-off
- Perform DFT debug, failure analysis, and silicon bring-up
- Collaborate with RTL, PD, STA, verification, and validation teams
- Resolve DFT issues during implementation and post-silicon
- Mentor junior DFT engineers
- Develop automation scripts to improve DFT flow efficiency
