- Carry out inspections of tunnel civil structures including:
1. Tunnel lining, segments, and portals
2. Road pavement, shoulders, walkways, and kerbs
- Expansion joints, drainage systems, and fire exits
- Identify and report structural defects like cracks, spalling, seepage, and water ingress.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance schedules are implemented as per the Annual Maintenance Plan (AMP).
2. Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate with contractors for execution of civil maintenance works inside the tunnel and approaches.
- Supervise minor civil repairs, pothole patching, concrete works, drainage cleaning, and wall finishing.
- Ensure minimal disruption to tunnel operations during maintenance.
3. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily civil inspection records, fault logs, and activity reports.
- Support in updating the Maintenance Management System (MMS) and asset inventory.
- Prepare periodic reports for submission to internal management and the Authority.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure that all civil maintenance work is carried out in compliance with:
- MORTH/IRC/IS codes
- PIARC and tunnel-specific safety protocols
