We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Support Engineer to support and manage critical hospital applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Hospital Information Systems (HIS/HMIS), clinical applications, and application support in a healthcare workplace. The candidate will work closely with clinical, operational, and IT teams to ensure seamless application performance and user support.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for Hospital Information Systems (HIS/HMIS) and other clinical applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues within agreed SLAs.
- Coordinate with software vendors for issue resolution, upgrades, and patches.
- Manage user accounts, application configurations, and access controls.
- Perform application testing before production deployment.
- Monitor application health, logs, and performance.
- Support integrations between HIS, LIS, RIS, PACS, EMR/EHR, ERP, and third-party systems.
- Prepare documentation, SOPs, and user manuals.
- Conduct end-user training and provide application support to clinical and non-clinical departments.
- Participate in new module implementation, upgrades, and change management.
- Work with database and infrastructure teams to resolve application-related issues.
- Ensure data integrity, application availability, and compliance with hospital policies.

Required Skills





- Strong experience in Hospital Information Systems (HIS/HMIS/HIMS).
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR, LIS, RIS, PACS, ERP, and clinical workflows.
- Experience in SQL queries and database troubleshooting (MS SQL/Oracle).
- Good understanding of Windows Server, IIS, and basic networking concepts.
- Experience in application deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of incident management and ITIL processes is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech (Computer Science/IT/ECE) or MCA/B.Sc./M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT) or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications in SQL, ITIL, Microsoft, or Healthcare IT are an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

- 58 years of experience in application support within a multi-specialty hospital.
- Experience with HIS products such as MedMantra, TrakCare, KareXpert, Oracle Health/Cerner, Epic, or similar healthcare applications.
- Experience in supporting clinical and operational users in a hospital environment.
