Job Description: Networking & IT Infrastructure Executive

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Networking & IT Infrastructure Executive to manage office IT infrastructure, networking systems, IT procurement, and project-site integration activities. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining smooth IT operations at the office and supporting networking, hardware, and system integration requirements for ongoing projects at customer or field sites.

Key Responsibilities

1. Office IT Infrastructure Management

- Manage and maintain office LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and network cabling.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network issues, internet downtime, IP conflicts, printer sharing, and system connectivity problems.
- Maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, NAS/storage devices, CCTV, biometric systems, and other IT equipment.
- Manage user systems, software installation, antivirus, OS updates, backup support, and basic IT security.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets, licenses, accessories, and network devices.
- Coordinate with internet service providers, hardware vendors, and AMC/service partners.

2. IT Procurement

- Identify IT hardware and networking requirements for office and project needs.
- Prepare technical specifications for laptops, desktops, servers, routers, switches, cables, connectors, racks, UPS, storage, and accessories.
- Obtain quotations, compare vendors, support price negotiation, and prepare procurement recommendations.
- Coordinate purchase, delivery, inspection, installation, and warranty documentation.
- Maintain records of invoices, serial numbers, warranty, AMC, and service history.

3. Project Site IT & Network Integration





- Support installation and configuration of networking equipment at project sites.
- Set up routers, switches, LAN/WAN connectivity, static IPs, VLANs, Wi-Fi networks, and basic firewall configurations.
- Support integration of project systems such as data loggers, DAQ systems, sensors, edge computers, tablets, servers, IP cameras, and monitoring systems.
- Assist project teams in setting up communication between field devices, dashboards, databases, and local/cloud servers.
- Troubleshoot site-level network, device connectivity, IP configuration, cable routing, and hardware communication issues.
- Travel to project/customer sites for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance support.

4. Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare network diagrams, IP addressing sheets, asset lists, installation reports, and site commissioning reports.
- Maintain IT procurement records, configuration backups, warranty documents, and service reports.
- Prepare SOPs for system setup, troubleshooting, backup, and maintenance.
- Report daily/weekly IT issues, action taken, pending items, and procurement status to management.

Required Skills

- Valuable knowledge of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, access points, firewalls, and network cabling.
- Understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, static IP configuration, port forwarding, and VPN basics.
- Hands-on experience with Windows systems, basic Linux commands, printers, scanners, and office IT devices.
- Ability to crimp LAN cables,



test network cables, and troubleshoot physical connectivity issues.
- Experience in IT hardware procurement and vendor coordination.
- Basic understanding of servers, NAS, backup systems, UPS, racks, and power requirements.
- Ability to work at customer/project sites and coordinate with technical teams.
- Good documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with industrial/project networking, CCTV/IP camera systems, IoT devices, DAQ systems, or field instrumentation.
- Knowledge of firewall, VLAN, VPN, remote access, and secure networking.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and asset management.
- Basic understanding of cloud/server connectivity, databases, and API-based systems.
- Familiarity with defence/industrial project environments will be an added advantage.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Networking, or related field.
- Networking certification such as CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent will be preferred.

Experience

- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, networking, IT support, procurement, and project-site installation.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be practical, hands-on, and capable of managing both office IT infrastructure and field-level project integration. The person should be able to independently troubleshoot IT/networking issues, coordinate vendors, support procurement, and assist project teams during installation and commissioning at site.

Employment Requirements

- Willingness to travel to project/customer sites as required.
- Ability to work under timelines during installation and commissioning activities.
- Must be able to coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and customers professionally.
