Desired Profile:

The Unit Head will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end plant operations for the manufacturing unit. This includes production, quality control, maintenance, safety, cost management, and team leadership to ensure productive and compliant operations aligned with business objectives.

Job Description:

- Lead daily manufacturing operations with a strong focus on Labour Management optimizing workforce allocation, and maintaining high productivity to meet production targets including workforce planning, performance monitoring, and ensuring efficient utilization across all company units.
- To prepare the reports and share it with the reporting manager in daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Ensure optimal utilization of resources (manpower, machinery, raw materials).
- Drive continuous improvement in productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality standards and product specifications.
- Monitor in-process and finished goods quality.
- Coordinate with R&D; for product improvements and troubleshooting.
- Reduce rejections, complaints, and quality deviations.




- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all plant equipment.
- Ensure minimal downtime through effective PM planning and execution.
- Monitor equipment health and coordinate timely repairs.
- Improve overall equipment efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a zero-incident safety culture.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Manage operational budgets and control manufacturing costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Monitor consumption of raw materials and utilities.
- Ensure availability of raw materials for uninterrupted production.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels of RM and FG.
- Ensure adherence to statutory, environmental, and ISO standards.
- Maintain proper production, QC, and maintenance records.
- Prepare and present MIS reports to management.

Qualification and Skills:

- Bachelors degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering
- 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing (construction chemicals, paints, cement, or similar industries)
- Minimum 3-5 years in a leadership role handling Production, QC, and PM

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong expertise in production processes and QC systems
- Hands-on experience in preventive maintenance (PM) practices
- Leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of construction chemical products (admixtures, waterproofing, grouts, etc.)
- Cost control and operational excellence mindset
- Familiarity with ISO, TPM, Lean Manufacturing
