Job Description:

Role: Scrum Master / Project Manager

Experience: 8+ Years

Notice period: Immediate joiners to 15 days (Only Who are serving notice period preferred)

Duration: 6 to 12 Month Contract; client intends to extend or convert to full-time and reserves the right to hire at any time during the engagement.

Interview Process: 2 rounds of interview to hire

Location: Remote during the contract period; local candidates only. Upon conversion to a full-time employee (which may occur anytime after 6 months), candidates must be able to work in a 3-days-per-week hybrid model from Hyderabad.

Work Hours: 12:00 PM 9:00 PM IST

Role Overview

We are seeking a hybrid Scrum Master and Project Manager for a significant modernization effort. The selected candidate will support a multi-year project focused on moving legacy mainframe applications to the cloud while adding new business enhancements. This position requires a professional who can establish governance, manage project milestones, and ensure full transparency with stakeholders in an adapted Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct Agile ceremonies and manage project milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues.
- Support the Product Owner with release planning and maintaining a healthy, prioritized backlog.
- Build strong partnerships with the Product Owner, IT lead, and squad through open communication.
- Manage project schedules and coordinate resources to deliver projects within budget and timeline.
- Champion continuous improvement within the squad and adapt to process changes.

Required Qualifications

- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Jira is required. Experience with PPM tools is a nice-to-have.
- Soft Skills:



Must be assertive and possess the ability to push back when necessary to ensure project integrity. The role requires strong interpersonal skills to navigate stakeholder dynamics and build rapport with squad members.

- Financial settlement modernization effort.
- Dual-purpose role between Scrum Master (60%) and Project Manager (40%).
- Multi-year modernization effort (High probability)
- Recently exited Sprint Zero and beginning backlog build-out activities.
- Legacy mainframe applications are being modernized to AWS cloud while adding new business enhancements and value.

Top Must-Haves

- Experience as a hybrid Scrum Master and Project Manager.
- Well-versed in establishing governance and process standards.
- Solid risk, issue, dependency, and milestone management experience.
- Ability to push back when necessary and maintain project transparency.
- Jira experience required.
- PPM experience is nice to have.
- Scrum Master Certification
