Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 518 years of experience in procurement for manufacturing, heavy engineering, automotive, railways, or industrial equipment

Key Responsibilities

- Source and procure mechanical components, fabricated parts, castings, forgings, machined components, sheet metal parts, fasteners, bearings, valves, hydraulics, and pneumatic items.
- Float RFQs (Request for Quotations) to suppliers and evaluate techno-commercial offers.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
- Prepare comparative statements and recommend suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely material availability.
- Coordinate with design, production, quality, stores, and planning teams to meet manufacturing schedules.
- Develop new vendors and qualify alternate sources for critical components.
- Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Resolve supply issues and expedite delayed deliveries.
- Ensure procurement complies with company policies and quality standards.




- Support cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.

- Knowledge of Incoterms, GST, and commercial procurement practices.
- Exposure to ISO quality systems and supplier audits.
