Data Lead / Architect Technical Resource (Retail) (Python,Snowflake, Looker, ADF)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Analyst to augment our internal technical team across multiple projects launching in the near term. This individual will work side-by-side with our internal resource as an extension of the core team not as a separate, siloed function — sharing ownership of both project delivery and day-to-day critical requests.

Required Skills:

- Strong hands-on experience in Python and Snowflake.
- Working knowledge of Looker.
- Strong command of SQL, with the ability to write, review, and optimize complex queries.

Soft Skills / Attributes

- Prior experience working in a Retail business context, enabling a fast ramp-up into the role and domain.
- Strong data analysis skills, with a proven ability to translate business requirements into explicit technical requirements.
- Ability to lead and oversee resources, ensuring deliverables stay on track, and proactively raising concerns when challenges are forecasted.




- Comfortable presenting updates directly to Leadership on project progress, risks, and challenges.

Role Expectations

This individual is expected to augment our internal technical resource across multiple concurrently starting projects, functioning as a trusted extension of the internal team rather than an external add-on.

- Work side by side with our internal resource, jointly ensuring both project workstreams and day-to-day critical requests keep moving.
- Proactively reach out to Leadership whenever challenges or risks are identified — the same expectation held for our internal resource.
- Review code and deliverables produced by offshore resources, across both development and support functions.
- Step in to build solutions directly where needed, particularly in areas requiring a quicker turnaround.
- Liaise directly with IT and Business partners to clarify and solidify requirements and resolve issues — with the same autonomy and ownership expected of our internal resource.
