Night Shift

About the Role

We are looking for a SharePoint Designer to join our Global Design Support team and turn written content into well-structured, on-brand SharePoint experiences. Working from source material such as Word documents and PDFs, you will design and build modern SharePoint Online pages and sites applying brand standards through theming, layout, and light front-end customisation. This role suits a designer with 15 years of experience who blends a strong visual design sensibility with a working understanding of the contemporary SharePoint platform.

Key Skills

Key Responsibilities

Content-to-Page Conversion: Take content supplied in Word documents, PDFs, or written briefs and translate it into well-structured, visually engaging modern SharePoint Online pages and sites — choosing appropriate layouts, web parts, and navigation.

– Brand-Compliant Design: Apply brand guidelines across all SharePoint outputs — colours, typography, logo usage, and imagery — using site themes and design assets to ensure a consistent, professional look.

– Site & Page Building: Design and build communication sites, team sites, and intranet pages using modern SharePoint Online web parts, sections, and templates.

– Light Front-End Customisation: Apply HTML/CSS and basic SharePoint Framework (SPFx) customisations, theming,



and JSON column/view formatting to extend the look and functionality of pages within governance limits.

– Information Architecture: Organise content into clear, intuitive structures — navigation, hubs, and page hierarchies — that make information easy to find and consume.

– Accessibility & Responsiveness: Ensure pages are accessible (WCAG-aware) and render correctly across devices and screen sizes.

– Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Design Team Manager, Team Lead, and content owners to understand briefs, incorporate feedback, and deliver sites on time and to specification.

– Quality Review: Self-review all pages before publishing — checking for brand compliance, layout consistency, accurate content, and correct links and formatting.

– Governance & Reusability: Maintain reusable page templates, design assets, and clear documentation, following SharePoint governance and version-control practices.

Requirements

– Experience: 1–5 years of professional experience designing and building modern SharePoint Online sites and pages, with examples of on-brand, well-structured intranet or communication sites.

– Education: Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Design, or a related discipline,



or equivalent practical experience.

– SharePoint Proficiency: Robust working knowledge of modern SharePoint Online — pages, sites, web parts, and site theming. Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic SharePoint Framework (SPFx) customisation and JSON formatting.

– Design & Tools (Good to Have): Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, and Figma, plus awareness of accessibility (WCAG) standards, is an advantage.

– Mac Proficiency: Good working proficiency on macOS (Apple Mac) is required. The Global Design Support team uses Mac machines for all day-to-day design work, so comfort with the Mac operating system, file management, and design workflows on Mac is essential.

– Working Hours: This role operates on US-aligned time zones. Candidates must be fully comfortable working evening and night shifts (3 PM – 12 AM or 6 PM – 3 AM IST) as a standard condition of employment.

– Attention to Detail: A careful, methodical approach to page production — consistent in quality, precise in execution, and thorough in self-review before publishing.

– Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand briefs and interpret written content accurately.

– Time Management: Ability to manage multiple concurrent site and page requests, meeting deadlines while maintaining quality across all outputs.

– Team Player: A collaborative mindset, comfortable receiving direction and contributing positively within a team environment.
