Function Retail Operations / Sales
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Area Manager to drive retail store operations and sales performance
across the assigned territory. The ideal candidate brings hands-on retail store exposure, a strong sales
orientation, and the ability to manage indenting and on-ground promotional activity, including activations
at residential societies and apartment complexes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own sales targets and overall business performance for retail stores within the assigned area
(Hyderabad or Bangalore).
- Manage day-to-day retail store operations, ensuring standards of merchandising, service, and
store hygiene are maintained.
- Plan and manage indenting — forecasting stock requirements and coordinating timely
replenishment with supply chain/warehouse teams to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
- Plan, drive, and review on-ground promotional and sales activities at apartment complexes /
residential societies (RWA activations) to build local demand and brand visibility.
- Recruit, train, and manage store-level staff and ensure adherence to company processes and
SOPs.
- Track competition, local market trends, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
- Report regularly on sales, footfall, inventory, and activation outcomes to senior management.
- Ensuring timely E commerce deliveries / dispatches
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience in retail store operations and sales, preferably in organized retail, FMCG,
or D2C/quick-commerce environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing indenting/inventory planning for stores.
- Proven track record of running ground-level promotional or activation campaigns, ideally including
society/apartment activities.
- Solid people management and multi-store/multi-team handling experience.
- Willingness to travel within the city/region as required.
