PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Business Analyst provides health operations and business systems expertise during the receipt, review and delivery of client requests and internal projects related to data integrations, reporting and analytics for the claims administration solution.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

- Manage resolution of incoming client tickets, including gathering information, recreation of issues, resolution of the issue and co-ordination with developers
- Analyze incoming projects, client and strategic, requests and gather business requirements
- Ensure appropriate communication with account management and clients on all projects and tickets
- Execute QA test plans and co-ordinate issue resolution with the development staff
- Document requirements to ensure business logic, process continunity and regulatory compliance
- Use ad hoc reporting tools to complete daily job responsibilities using SSRS, PowerBI and similar tools for triage and data evaluationDesign/Create/Validate ad hoc reports based on client or internal requests for review
- Review requirements, test plans, developed by other business analysts on the team
- Train internal and/or client staff on system functionality, processes and procedures

EDUCATION:




Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

- 5 plus years as a Business Analyst, preferably in data integration and reporting environments
- Experience with healthcare payer datasets - claims adjudication, benefit management, enrollment, utilization managementTechnical SkillsProficiency in SQL/SSRS and PowerBI for querying and validating data
- Robust understanding of data integration concepts (ETL, APIs, data pipelines) and data modeling
- Experience with enterprise data platforms, data warehouses, and reporting tools
- Strong preference for experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data management principles
- Analytical & Business SkillsAbility to analyze and interpret complex datasets and document business processes
- Strong analytical, systems thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Skilled in translating business needs into technical specifications and creating process flows

Project & Delivery Skills
Experience with Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
