About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Manager to lead and build our Corporate Safety and Security function across the APAC region. You will be the senior-most Corporate Safety and Security leader in the region and the single point of accountability for the program across all APAC corporate facilities. This role reports to the Director, Corporate Safety and Security, the global functional head.

This is a regional build-and-run mandate. The global function defines the strategy, operating model, standards, and playbook; you own bringing them to life across APAC implementing them, adapting them to local regulatory and cultural realities, building the regional team and infrastructure, and running day-to-day operations to a consistent standard. Where regional conditions demand something the global model does not yet cover, you surface those requirements and help shape the standard. Your program ladders directly into the global functions objectives and key results.

The function is organized around five pillars: physical security infrastructure and operations; emergency preparedness and response; threat assessment and workplace violence prevention; safety, compliance, and risk management; and security awareness, training, and culture. You will own all five across the region, implementing them in step with the global roadmap and largely standing them up where they do not yet exist.

You will translate the global roadmap into a regional plan, build and lead a high-performing APAC team, manage regional vendors and budget, and drive measurable outcomes across each pillar. The role blends operational leadership with hands-on execution. You will determine the methods and procedures to deliver the program in-region, delegate across your team, hold vendors and facilities to the programs standards, and own the functions priorities and performance in APAC. Success in the first year means APAC has a functioning operating model aligned to global standards, a regional team taking shape, and measurable progress across all five pillars.

This role requires robust domain expertise, sound business judgment, and the ability to influence leaders across a fast-moving, globally distributed organization. You will partner closely with regional and global counterparts in Real Estate, Facilities, Workforce Strategy, IT, HR, Legal, and the business to embed physical security into how DoorDash operates across APAC. It requires operational discipline, credibility with senior stakeholders, and the ability to build a program in-region rather than maintain a mature one. This role requires significant travel across the region, with an elevated tempo during the initial build phase, and is expected to be based in and work from our Hyderabad office daily.

You are excited about this opportunity because you will

- Implement and run the access control program across APAC. Deliver enterprise-grade physical access control across the regions corporate facilities in line with global standards layered identity controls, mobile-first and biometric credentialing,

automated provisioning and deprovisioning tied to employment and role, and a consistent access experience at every office. Ensure access is regularly audited, sensitive spaces have clear ownership, and the physical environment supports rather than impedes the employee experience.
- Stand up emergency preparedness across the region. Build and certify Emergency Response Teams at every APAC corporate location, publish and maintain Emergency Response Plans for all regional facilities to the global template, and operate severity levels, escalation protocols, and communications for rapid response. Build local law enforcement and first responder relationships across the region, and lead regular incident exercises and tabletop simulations.
- Run threat assessment and workplace violence prevention in-region. Operate threat intake, behavioral assessment, and case management across APAC to protect employees and enable early intervention. Apply the global policies and escalation pathways, calibrate them to local jurisdictions, and partner with HR, Legal, and business leaders to deliver a program that is rigorous, jurisdiction-aware, and locally appropriate across a diverse regional workforce.
- Deliver training and awareness across APAC. Ensure every employee in the region knows emergency response procedures and how to reach the Global Operations Center. Drive First Aid, CPR, AED, and Stop the Bleed certification across a meaningful share of the regional workforce. Execute the safety and security communications strategy in formats that fit the region and actually stick.
- Own event safety and security regionally. Apply the global risk management standards, policies, and procedures to corporate events across APAC. Hold event hosts to the security requirements thresholds, and deliver security planning, staffing, and incident response for regional events across all brands.
- Drive standardization and compliance in the region. Deliver standardized safety and security integrations, implementations, and operations across all APAC corporate offices in line with the global model. Ensure regulatory compliance with occupational health and safety and physical security requirements across the regions jurisdictions. Maintain regional adherence to policy review cadences and clear accountability for high-value and sensitive assets.
- Run the regional function with operational discipline. Own and manage the APAC budget with variance discipline and accurate accruals. Manage regional vendors and contract staffing to defined requirements, run procurement in-region, and hold suppliers to measurable performance standards. Maintain team engagement,

deliver against regional OKRs, and ensure all APAC corporate facilities are risk-assessed and audited on the defined cadence.

We are excited about you because you bring

- Leadership and ownership. 10+ years of experience in corporate safety and security, including 5+ years leading teams, with a track record of building rather than maintaining. You build capable teams, develop people, and set clear direction within your scope, and you stay close enough to the work to know when execution is falling short.
- Build experience. A record of standing up or significantly transforming a physical security program not inheriting a mature one. You have built out facilities and operations, hired and developed staff, helped select and implement technology, and established ways of working that lasted.
- Multi-country operational experience. You have operated physical security programs across multiple countries and jurisdictions in person, not managed them remotely. You understand how regulatory environments, cultural context, and vendor ecosystems differ across markets ideally across APAC and how to deliver a consistent program within them.
- Technical orientation. You do not need to be a technologist, but you need to think like one. You understand physical security systems access control, video management, guest management, analytics, and hardware infrastructure at the conceptual and operational level. You pick up current technologies quickly, have strong opinions about what good looks like, own how systems are implemented and operated in-region, and keep infrastructure aligned to what is actually happening in the field.
- Vendor accountability. Experience managing physical security vendors and contract staffing, with a track record of competitive procurement, enforced performance standards, and cost discipline within budget.
- Execution under pressure. You operate well in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. You make sound decisions with incomplete information, sequence work thoughtfully, and maintain pace across competing priorities.
- Communication and influence. You communicate clearly and without unnecessary complexity, build cross-functional alignment, and represent the function credibly with senior stakeholders. You build strong working relationships with Real Estate, Facilities, Workforce Strategy, HR, Legal, and IT, and earn the confidence of business leaders by making security an enabler, not a friction point.
- AI fluency and appetite. You use AI tools as a real part of how you work, not as a novelty. You understand where and how AI should shape physical security operations automation, detection, analytics, workflow acceleration, and decision support and you have a genuine appetite to keep growing your own capability.
