About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Agronomist/Plant Manager to lead agronomy initiatives, crop management programs, field trials, and farmer advisory services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in crop science, soil health, plant nutrition, pest & disease management, and modern agronomic practices, along with solid leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead planning and execution of agronomy programs, field trials, and demonstration plots
2. Provide technical expertise on crop production, soil health, fertilizers, irrigation, and plant protection
3. Develop agronomy strategies to improve yield, quality, and farm productivity
4. Conduct field/site visits, advisory support to plantation team, channel partners & internal teams
5. Analyze crop performance, generate technical reports, and recommend corrective actions
6. Support product development, crop advisory content, and technical training initiatives
7. Collaborate with R&D;, Product, Sales & Marketing teams for agronomy support Ensure compliance with agricultural best practices, sustainability & regulatory standards

Key Skills & Competencies

1. Strong knowledge about agroforestry plantation (Sandalwood, Teak, Timber)
2. Hands-on experience in field trials /site visits & agronomy research
3. Expertise in pest, disease & weed management
4. Strong analytical, advisory & problem-solving skills
5. Excellent communication, presentation & stakeholder engagement
6. Ability to work independently and handle field responsibilities.

Education Qualification - B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Agriculture / Agronomy or related discipline

Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in agronomy, MIS reporting, performance monitoring, and data analysis within agriculture or allied sectors

Qualification : Bachelors or Masters degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field.

Experience : 10-15 years of experience in plantation or farm supervision. Experience in crops such as sandalwood, palm, fruits, or similar plantation crops is an advantage.

Work Conditions:

- Field-based role, requires extensive time outdoors/site, ready to relocate as per company requirement.
- May involve weekend or holiday work during peak agricultural seasons.
