Job title: SAP BW Developer
We are looking for an experienced SAP BW/HANA Developer with (***) years of
hands-on experience in SAP BW/HANA data modeling and extraction. The ideal
candidate is also motivated to expand their skills in modern data platforms such as
Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and visualization tools like Power BI and
Tableau. This role offers the opportunity to bridge traditional SAP analytics with
cloud-based data platforms and contribute to a growing data transformation journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain data models in SAP BW on HANA (SAP
NETWEAVER 7.5), including InfoObjects, InfoProviders (ADSOs, Composite
Providers, Open ODS Views), OHDs, Transformations and DTPs and queries
using BEx.
• Build and optimize HANA Calculation Views and other HANA artifacts.
• Develop LSA/LSA++ architecture-based solutions in SAP BW on HANA
• Extract and transform data from SAP ECC/S4 and Non-SAP systems into
SAP BW using standard extractors or custom datasources & Enhancements.
• Develop and enhance ABAP routines (Start, End, Field routines) in
transformations
• Write ABAP programs for dataSource Enhancements, Customer Exit
Variables, lookups and BADIs in BW setting
• Debug and optimize ABAP code for performance tuning
• Create and maintain BEx Queries, Workbooks, and Calculated/Restricted Key
Figures
• Collaborate with data platform and BI teams to align SAP data structures with
enterprise reporting needs




• Participate in projects integrating SAP BW data into Azure-based platforms
(Synapse, Databricks, etc.)
• Support the migration or replication of SAP BW data for use in cloud
environments
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment with business definitions

Minimum skills:
• (***) years of experience in SAP BW/HANA development and data modeling
• Hands-on experience in ABAP in BW, Develop and enhance ABAP routines
(Start, End, Field routines,Lookups) in transformations and datasource
enhancements.
• Experience with HANA Calculation Views and Modeling tools
• Good understanding of data warehousing and ETL principles
• Familiarity with data extraction tools such as ODP, CDS Views, or flat file
integrations
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate business needs into technical
solutions
• Strong understanding of SAP ECC/S4HANA data structures and extractor
logic
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to navigate complexity
• Experience in performance and tuning
• Knowledge in building and maintaining BEx queries for reporting
• Willingness and curiosity to learn Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data
Factory, and Databricks
• Demonstrable experience applying agile mythologies (SCRUM)
• Good team player
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Advanced level of English
Preferred skills:
• Knowledge of data architecture concepts (e.g., data lakehouse, medallion
architecture)
• Exposure to modern BI tools such as SAC, Power BI or Tableau is a plus
