Educational Qualification

- B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) – Preferred
- MSc (Electronics) – Considered with relevant domain experience

Note: An Electronics background is preferred as most projects involve hardware platforms with proprietary and standard communications protocols, requiring the candidate to understand system-level hardware-software interactions.

Certifications / Training (Preferred)

- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification
- Any Agile / Scrum Master certification

Required Skill Set (Mandatory)

- Strong knowledge in Java – primary development language for project deliverables
- Very good knowledge of Spring Boot Framework and front-end technologies
- Good knowledge in React JS
- Good understanding of hardware-software integration in communications / Defense electronics systems
- Knowledge of proprietary protocols and standard communications protocols (IP, TCP/UDP, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge in protocol development and integration
- Knowledge in Databases: MS SQL and MySQL
- Application performance fine-tuning and optimization
- Experience working in Telecom / SATCOM / Defense domain

Desirable Skill Set

- Enterprise application development and deployment experience
- Experience with MIL-STD or Defense documentation standards
- Knowledge in Mobile app development (hybrid and native apps)
- Familiarity in IEEE 12207, DO 178 and DO 254 is a plus
- Knowledge in networking concepts – LAN, WAN, IP routing, VLAN,

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead end-to-end software project delivery for communications and Defense electronics systems, primarily developed in Java.

2. Understand and manage projects involving hardware platforms, proprietary protocols, and standard communications stacks; coordinate effectively with hardware and embedded teams.

3. Prepare technical proposals, SRS/SDD documents, design reviews, and project plans for Defense/government customers.

4. Define project architecture, scope, resource allocation, timelines, and communication strategies.

5. Assemble, mentor, and lead cross-functional project teams spanning software, hardware, and RF/communications disciplines.

6. Plan and supervise all project phases – requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and delivery.

7. Ensure projects stay on schedule, within scope and budget, and meet all contractual milestones.

8. Track and manage milestones, deliverables, risks, and change requests through the project lifecycle.

9. Apply project estimation techniques (function points, WBS, analogy-based estimation) for scheduling and resource planning.

10. Implement Agile/Scrum or appropriate methodology based on project requirements.

11. Serve as primary interface with customers (including government/Defense agencies) for project coordination and reviews.

12. Exercise robust leadership, decision-making, and organisational skills to drive project success.
