Job Title: Senior Manager Quality Management System (QMS)

Position Summary
The Senior Manager Quality Management System (QMS) is responsible for leading the organization's quality strategy, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturing facilities. The role ensures compliance with automotive quality standards, customer-specific requirements, and statutory regulations while driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and business performance.
The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of progressive experience in Quality Management within the Sheet Metal and Automotive Components industry, with expertise in QMS implementation, customer audits, supplier quality, manufacturing process control, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Leadership

- Develop and implement the company's quality vision, policies, and strategic objectives.
- Lead enterprise-wide Quality Management System initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Establish quality culture and drive continuous improvement across all manufacturing operations.
- Mentor and develop quality leadership teams across plants.

Quality Management System (QMS)

- Lead implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of Quality Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, MSIL customer-specific requirements, and applicable statutory standards.
- Drive standardization of quality systems across manufacturing locations.
- Review quality metrics and initiate improvement projects.

Customer Quality

- Manage customer quality performance and ensure achievement of customer quality targets.
- Lead customer audits and represent the organization during quality reviews.
- Resolve customer complaints using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Strengthen customer relationships through proactive quality management.

Audit Management

- Lead Internal Audits, Process Audits, Product Audits, Layered Process Audits (LPA), Supplier Audits, and System Audits.
- Coordinate certification audits and customer assessments.




- Ensure closure and effectiveness of audit findings within agreed timelines.
- Drive audit readiness across all manufacturing facilities.

Manufacturing Process Quality

- Ensure robust quality control throughout sheet metal manufacturing processes including:
- Press Shop
- Grinding
- CNC Punching
- VMC
- Wire cut
- HTR
- SFD
- Sizing Sorting
- Progressive & Transfer Tooling
- Laser Cutting
- Bending
- Assembly

- Improve process capability and reduce variation through statistical methods.

Supplier Quality

- Develop supplier quality systems and supplier development programs.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct supplier audits.
- Lead supplier corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives.
- Improve incoming quality and supplier PPM performance.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

- Lead structured problem-solving using:

- Drive defect prevention and cost-of-quality reduction initiatives.

New Product Development (NPD)

- Ensure quality planning for new product launches.
- Review APQP deliverables.
- Approve PPAP submissions.
- Participate in design and process reviews.
- Support successful customer approvals.

Risk Management

- Drive implementation of PFMEA and DFMEA reviews.
- Ensure Control Plans are effective.
- Monitor Process Capability (Cp/Cpk).
- Lead risk assessment and mitigation activities.

Performance Management
Monitor and improve:

- Customer PPM
- Internal PPM
- Supplier PPM
- COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality)
- Scrap and Rework
- Warranty Performance
- First Pass Yield (FPY)
- Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) from a quality perspective
- CAPA effectiveness
- Audit closure performance

Regulatory & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with automotive OEM requirements.
- Maintain readiness for certification and surveillance audits.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health,



and safety regulations related to quality operations.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Master's Degree (MBA/Operations/Quality Management) preferred.

Experience

- Minimum 15 years of experience in Quality Management within Sheet Metal and Automotive Components manufacturing.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Head of Quality, General Manager Quality, AVP, or VP).
- Experience working with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 customers.
- Proven experience managing multiple manufacturing plants is preferred.
