Role & responsibilities
- Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies (TPIA), clients, and internal departments for scheduled inspections.
- Review and understand project specifications, valve datasheets, ITP (Inspection & Test Plans), and quality requirements.
- Ensure valves are ready for inspection as per the approved ITP stages (e.g., material inspection, assembly, hydro test, final inspection).
- Arrange inspection calls and ensure availability of inspectors on time.
- Prepare and submit inspection dossiers, including:
- Material Test Certificates (MTC)
- Inspection reports
- Test certificates (hydro, pneumatic, etc.)
- Witness and support inspections such as:
- Visual inspection
- Dimensional checks
- Pressure testing
- NDT (if applicable)
- Ensure compliance with standards such as:
- API (e.g., API 6D, API 598)
- ASME
- ISO standards
- Handle inspection comments, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and ensure timely closure.
- Maintain records of inspections and update inspection status trackers.
- Coordinate with production and QA teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure proper tagging, traceability, and identification of valves.
- Support client audits and documentation reviews.
Preferred candidate profile Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 3-8 years of experience in valve manufacturing or inspection.
- Robust knowledge of valve types (Knife gate, check,globe, butterfly, etc.).
- Familiarity with inspection standards (API, ASME, ISO).
- Experience working with third-party inspectors (e.g., TUV, SGS, BV, DNV).
- NDT Level II certification
- Experience with ERP/SAP /Spyro systems.
