Role & responsibilities

- Be responsible for overall management of the shop floor during the assigned shift/ period.
- Deliver production output targets for the assigned shift.
- Ensure proper hand over & takeover of shifts.
- Ensure operation of plant and machinery as per SOP.
- Ensure optimal utilization of plant and machinery through planned batch sizes and product changeovers.
- Ensure Good Hygiene and Manufacturing Practices during the operation. Ensure discipline and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate with HR for all people related issues and Maintenance for all machinery breakdowns .
- Ensure effective use of the resources to ensure maximum efficiency in terms of cost and productivity.
- Responsible for a positive EHS in Production. In case of lack of authority Production officer is responsible to escalate issues to a higher level within the function.
- Responsible for scheduling and conducting shift meetings
- Responsible for closely working with people for improvement in skills of the people in team.
- Responsible for ensuring the adherence to correct manning as per the company budget.
- Responsible for output of shifts,



need to collaborate with cross functional team to produce products with; Right quality, Right quantity, at the Right time at the Lowest cost.
- Responsible for the division to have the right skills and capacity to develop their OEE, so they reach the targeted OEE and also responsible for operator developments for continuous improvement.
- Actively pursue and to bring resources to Black Belt activities as - Process and production efficiency - Environmental Improvements - Quality improvements
- Mandate to stop production and activities that are not according to set specifications and regulations.
- Shift Production Management.
- Drive improvement and innovation agenda.
- Workmen management.
- Monitor, measure and report on production related process performance and general issues.
- Reporting of shift MIS (Yield, Productivity, Conversion cost etc).

Preferred candidate profile

3+ years experience in Production in food companies Experience in handling workmen Worked within a Unionised environment. Experience in NPD
