Role & responsibilities
Prepare, verify, and finalize inpatient (IP) bills accurately.
Ensure all investigations, pharmacy, procedures, consumables, and room charges are correctly captured.
Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, consultants, and other departments for billing updates.
Handle discharge billing, advance adjustments, refunds, and payment collection.
Coordinate with TPA/Insurance teams for pre-authorizations, approvals, and claim submissions.
Resolve billing discrepancies and address patient billing queries.
Generate daily billing reports and maintain accurate billing records.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and billing guidelines.
Preferred candidate profile
Graduate in Commerce, Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, or any relevant discipline.
1-3 years of experience in IP (Inpatient) Billing in a NABH-accredited hospital.
Hands-on experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS/HMS).
Knowledge of TPA/Insurance billing, cashless processes, and claim documentation.
Good communication, coordination, and customer service skills.
Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office.
Robust attention to detail and ability to work in rotational shifts.
