The prospect

Our global team of tax, operations and technology professionals provide services to financial institutions to meet their customer related regulatory obligations to tax authorities across global tax regimes.

The primary role of an Advanced Analyst in CTORS is to support EYs clients in reviewing, analysing and updating client tax compliance information in clients system of records, review any changes from time to time, provide necessary support to related teams like tax reporting, with-holding, client onboarding, KYC, etc. and help Seniors/Managers manage relationships with the client. The role requires oversight and compliance with IRS tax rules and intergovernmental agreements including FATCA.

Your key responsibilities

- Good grasp of baseline U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) regulation
- Knowledge of tax technical issues and processes relevant to U.S. individual and non-individual entities; familiarity with IRS forms W-8 and W-9 requirements
- Consistently provide high quality work with integrity and be vigilant to audit standards and requirements
- Manage and ensure compliance with Corporate Tax Regulations including procurement, validation processes, procedures, FATCA classification and related AML/KYC regulatory policy requirements
- Work with multiple teams, across different business lines and regions
- Contribute to client satisfaction by providing timely and effective responses to client needs and concerns
- Maintain collaborative relationships with EY colleagues
- Assist Seniors and Managers on special projects, as requested

- Demonstrate professionalism and poise in demeanour, attitude, communication, behaviour and interaction with others
- Motivate, inspire and coach Tax Analysts
- Mentor new members of the team

To qualify for the role you must have

- 3-4 years of relevant industry experience with hands on knowledge about Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) relevant for U.S. individual and non-individual entities, W-8 and W-9 requirements.

Ideally, youll also have

- Demonstrate effective written and oral communications skills in English
- Good analytical, verbal and numerical skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications like word, excel and PowerPoint
