About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead – Lease Accounting to manage end-to-end lease accounting operations, ensuring compliance with ASC 842, US GAAP, and internal control requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong lease accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a proven track record of driving process improvements in a corporate accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee the end-to-end lease accounting process, including lease setup, modifications, terminations, reassessments, and monthly close activities.
- Review lease accounting transactions and ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ASC 842 and US GAAP requirements.
- Manage lease-related journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis related to lease accounting activities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and auditors to support reporting requirements, audits, and compliance initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and accounting policies.
- Mentor, guide, and develop team members while driving a high-performance culture.
- Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.




- Monitor accounting developments and assess the impact of new lease accounting standards and guidance.

Required Qualifications

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter / CMA Inter / CA / CPA
- 8+ years of experience in Lease Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Corporate Accounting.
- Minimum 3 years of team handling or supervisory experience.
- Robust working knowledge of ASC 842 and US GAAP.
- Experience in month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Lease Accounting software such as Lease Query, CoStar, Lucernex, Lease Accelerator, TRIRIGA, or similar platforms.
- Experience in a multinational corporate environment.
- Exposure to SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Knowledge of Oracle, SAP, Black Line, OneStream, or other ERP systems.
