ROLE PROFILE

The Senior Engineer Electromechanical Design is a crucial role in the Team. This role requires a high level of

analytical and critical thinking.

This role is required to lead engineering activities within the scope of a defined project, including coordination of

resources, planning of timelines, and delivery of engineering milestones and support team and company

initiatives with a similar approach. The Senior Engineer – Electromechanical Design will have a direct impact on

the company’s ability to design, develop, and deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance battery systems to

customers.

Role responsibilities include:

- Lead the electro-mechanical design and integration of battery packs, including cell arrangement,

busbars, BMS and HV-LV connectors

- Develop and optimize battery pack architecture for performance, safety, manufacturability, and cost
- Collaborate with electrical teams on BMS (Battery Management System) integration and wiring harness

design

- Perform clearance and creepage analysis for busbars and other electronics components




- Calculate and define component sizing for battery electrical harness
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, UL, ISO, AIS, UN38.3)
- Support DFMEA, PFMEA, and risk assessments
- Work closely with suppliers for component selection, prototyping, and production scaling
- Lead design reviews, testing, and validation activities including environmental and lifecycle testing

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in electro-mechanical packaging, preferably automotive battery pack

components

- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Understanding of BMS integration, HV systems, and wiring
- Experience with FEA simulation for structural and thermal analysis
- Familiarity with automotive standards (AIS 038, ISO 26262, IATF 16949)
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach
