Role & responsibilities

Plant Operations & Production

- Plan, organize, and control daily plant operations to achieve production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.

- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and utilities.

- Monitor production performance against KPIs and take corrective actions.

- Drive adherence to production schedules and minimize downtime.

People & Team Management

- Lead, motivate, and develop plant teams including production, maintenance, quality, stores, and utilities.

- Ensure manpower planning, shift allocation, training, and skill development.

- Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement.

Quality Assurance

- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and customer requirements.

- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, audits, and corrective actions.

- Drive root cause analysis for quality deviations and implement preventive measures.

Maintenance & Asset Management

- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery.

- Improve equipment reliability, OEE, and asset life.

- Coordinate with engineering teams for upgrades, modifications, and CAPEX projects.

Cost Control & Efficiency





- Control plant operating costs including power, fuel, consumables, and wastage.

- Monitor budget adherence and recommend cost-optimization initiatives.

- Improve productivity through process improvements and lean practices.

Safety, Health & Setting (SHE)

- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental norms.

- Implement safety systems, audits, and training programs.

- Investigate accidents/incidents and implement preventive measures.

Statutory & Regulatory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with Factories Act, Labour Laws, Pollution Control norms, and other statutory requirements.

- Coordinate inspections by government authorities and external auditors.

- Maintain statutory records and documentation.

Supply Chain & Coordination

- Coordinate with procurement, stores, logistics, and sales teams for smooth operations.

- Ensure proper inventory control, material planning, and dispatch coordination.

Reporting & MIS

- Prepare and present plant performance reports, dashboards, and MIS.

- Review KPIs related to production, quality, safety, cost, and manpower.
