Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Global Payroll Manager to oversee end-to-end payroll operations across the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. The role is responsible for accurate, timely and compliant payroll delivery, governance, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Role & responsibilities
- Manage the complete payroll lifecycle for UK and ANZ employees, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time.
- Review payroll inputs including hires, exits, salary changes, bonuses, allowances, advantages and statutory deductions.
- Validate payroll calculations, reconciliations and final payroll outputs before sign-off.
- Coordinate with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless payroll execution.
- Ensure compliance with UK PAYE, RTI, National Insurance, pensions, Australia Superannuation, STP reporting, Recent Zealand PAYE and KiwiSaver requirements.
- Manage statutory filings, year-end activities, and payroll audits. Establish payroll controls and governance processes to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
- Act as the primary contact for payroll escalations and complex employee queries.
- Prepare payroll reports, variance analysis, reconciliations, and management of dashboards.
- Drive payroll process improvements,
automation initiatives, and system enhancement projects.
- Support payroll accounting, accruals, GL reconciliation, and audit requirements.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- 79 years of payroll experience with significant hands-on expertise in UK and ANZ payroll processing.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll operations in a multinational or shared services environment.
- Experience managing outsourced payroll vendors and service delivery.
- Experience supporting payroll transitions, process improvements or system implementations is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of UK, Australia and New Zealand payroll legislation and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with payroll platforms such as ADP, Oracle, or equivalent systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, payroll reporting, and data analysis capabilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and customer service orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced global setting
