Recently, G.D. Foods was acquired by AWL Agri Business Limited, significantly strengthening its portfolio of value-added food products and enhancing its footprint in the kitchen essentials segment.

Job Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all store and warehouse operations within the manufacturing plant.

The role ensures the timely receipt, storage, inventory control, and issue of raw materials, packaging materials, engineering spares, consumables, and finished goods while maintaining inventory accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Receipt & Dispatch

- Optimize warehouse layout for productive space utilization.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO practices where applicable.
- Maintain proper material identification and traceability.
- Ensure safe storage conditions for all materials.
- Monitor housekeeping and warehouse cleanliness.

2.ERP & Documentation





- Maintain accurate inventory transactions in ERP/SAP.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Manage GRN, material issue slips, stock transfer notes, and other store documents.
- Ensure proper document retention and audit readiness.

3.Team Management

- Lead, supervise, and train store personnel.
- Allocate daily work and monitor performance.
- Promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Ensure discipline and compliance with company policies.

4.Cost & Process Improvement

- Minimize inventory carrying costs and material losses.
- Reduce obsolete and non-moving inventory.
- Improve warehouse productivity through process improvements.
- Support digitalization and warehouse automation initiatives.

5. Inventory Management

- Manage receipt, storage, preservation, and issuance of all materials.
- Ensure accurate inventory records in ERP/SAP systems.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain optimum inventory.
- Conduct cycle counts and periodic physical stock verification.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in Warehouse Management or Inventory Management is an added advantage.

Experience

- 812 years of experience in stores and warehouse management within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 35 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems is preferred.
