Role & responsibilities

- Day-to-Day Bookkeeping: Record all business transactions in Tally, including journal, receipt, payment, contra, and inventory vouchers.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Maintain ledger balances for vendors and clients, track outstanding invoices, and manage follow-ups for collections.
- Bank Reconciliation: Match Tally account statements against physical bank statements to identify discrepancies and clear transactions.
- Taxation Compliance: Generate and maintain data for Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) for timely filing and tax payments.
- Financial Reporting: Generate crucial Financial Reports such as Trial Balances, Profit & Loss Statements, and Balance Sheets.
- Audit Support: Provide organized financial data and supporting documents to internal and external auditors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Software Proficiency: Solid hands-on Tally ERP 9 or [Tally Prime](0.5.7, 0.5.9) experience. Basic to advanced [Microsoft Excel](0.5.6, 0.5.15) knowledge is highly beneficial.
- Domain Knowledge: Degree in Accounting or Finance (B.Com, BBA, M.Com), and fundamental knowledge of Indian taxation laws.




- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information securely

Preferred candidate profile

- Tally Mastery: Expert in Tally Prime or Tally ERP 9, including advanced inventory control and cost centres.
- Taxation Skills: Hands-on experience with GST calculation, TDS deductions, and generating statutory reports from Tally.
- Excel Proficiency: Ability to use VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data formatting to export and clean Tally data.
- Banking Operations: Proficient in electronic fund transfers, letter of credit handling, and multi-bank reconciliations.

Education & Experience

- Academic Background: Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com), Business Administration (BBA Finance), or a related accounting degree.
- Work Experience: Typically 2 to 4 years of solid bookkeeping and operational accounting experience in an ERP environment.
- Certifications: Professional certification in Tally Academy or advanced accounting diplomas is highly preferred.
