Key Responsibilities.

Plant Operations

- Lead end-to-end plant operations including Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, Dispatch, and Logistics.
- Ensure smooth and uninterrupted manufacturing operations while meeting production targets.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Monitor plant performance through key operational KPIs and initiate corrective actions.

Production Management

- Ensure production planning is executed efficiently to meet customer demand.
- Maximize production yield and minimize wastage throughout the manufacturing process.
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), capacity utilization, and operational excellence.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Engineering & Maintenance

- Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Minimize machine breakdowns and maximize equipment availability.
- Ensure proper maintenance planning, spare inventory management, and machine reliability.
- Monitor utilities including electrical systems, boilers, compressors, refrigeration, and other critical plant infrastructure.

Projects & Expansion

- Lead new plant expansion and capacity enhancement projects.
- Manage civil construction activities within the plant.
- Evaluate, purchase, install, commission, and validate new machinery and production lines.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, machine suppliers, and government authorities during project execution.

Quality & Food Safety.

- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000/BRC (where applicable).
- Drive continuous improvements in food safety and quality systems.
- Minimize customer complaints through robust quality assurance and process control.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation for quality issues.

Warehouse & Logistics.

- Optimize warehouse operations, inventory control, and material movement.




- Improve dispatch planning and logistics efficiency.
- Minimize inventory losses and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, and planning teams for seamless supply chain operations.

Leadership & Team Management.

- Lead cross-functional teams including Production, Maintenance, quality, Warehouse, Stores,

Logistics, and Administration.

- Develop a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Build leadership capability within the organization through succession planning and employee development.

Business & Cost Management.

- Control manufacturing costs while maintaining product quality.
- Monitor budgets, operational expenses, and capital expenditure.
- Improve productivity through process optimization and automation initivatives.
- Support management in strategic planning and business growth initiatives.

Compliance & Safety.

- Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.

- Promote a strong culture of workplace safety.
- Conduct periodic audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Preferred candidate profile.

20+ years of experience in Food Processing or FMCG manufacturing.

- Proven experience in leading an entire manufacturing plant.
- Solid knowledge of sauces, chutneys, pastes, fruit & vegetable processing, aseptic processing, or related food manufacturing.
- Experience in plant expansion, machinery procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Strong understanding of maintenance systems, utilities, and engineering operations.
- Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies will be preferred.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and people management skills.
