Job Title:- Deputy Engineer - Designs

Job Description:-

We are looking for a Deputy Design Engineer with experience in product design, SolidWorks, and sheet metal components. The ideal candidate should be capable of developing cost-effective designs, supporting new product development, and coordinating with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:-

- Study customer drawings, product specifications, and design requirements.
- Develop innovative and cost-effective design solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies to ensure manufacturability and cost optimization.
- Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and prototypes using SolidWorks and CAD tools.
- Perform design validation and analyse prototype test results.
- Modify designs based on testing outcomes and customer requirements.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for New Product Development (NPD) projects.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS)

- Apply APQP, PPAP, and PFMEA methodologies during product development.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and tooling teams for smooth product implementation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product design and cost reduction.
- Possess basic knowledge of sheet metal tooling and manufacturing processes.

Required Skills:-

- Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD software.
- Valuable understanding of mechanical product design and drafting.
- Knowledge of cost control and design optimization.
- Experience in prototype development and design validation.
- Familiarity with QMS, PFMEA, PPAP, and APQP tools.
- Knowledge of BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
- Basic understanding of sheet metal tooling and fabrication processes.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
