Summary of Job Profile

Main purpose of PCB designer will be to design complex, high-reliability Printed Circuit Boards(PCB) for Automotive circuits.

Candidate must have good experinece in PCB design using Allegro tool or similar CAD tools, with understanding of processes involved in schematic capture, Layout, CAM and DFM/DFT.

Candiadte must be well versed with concepts of Basic Power Electonics, Switching Circuits and Microcontoller Circuits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Design complex, HDI rigid & rigid-flex PCB layout tasks for Automotive Industry.

2. Create and maintain PCB and Schematic symbol library within PCB Cad and PLM systems.

3. Work with electrical and mechanical teams in collaboration to meet electrical, mechanical and thermal aspects.

4. Able to handle multiple tasks and projects simulataneously, managing own time to meet projects milestones and schedules.

5. Ensure EMI/EMC compliant designs, implementing ground sheilding & routing techniques to achieve first pass compliance

6. Manage tight clearance & creepage rules for low/high voltage isolation & thermal dissipation for high power components

7. Communicate with PCB manufacturer and assembler to resolve problems encountered in PCB farbrication and assembly

8. Perform all other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skill, Abilities(KRA's)required to successfully perform the job

1. Proficient in using EDA tools, preferably Allegro 17.2 or higher

2. Knowledge about IPC and Automotive standards for PCB design

3.



Knowledge of EMC/EMI compliance and Thermal aspects for PCB

4. Familiarity with CAM tools like CAM350, Pollex or smilar to verify PCB design.

5. PCB layout design specially having sound knowledge on DDR, BGA, switching Supplies etc..

Education,Experience,Licensure,Certification required for the position Experience: 3 or more years PCB layout experience

Qualification: B tech / BE in Electronics & Communication Engineering

Competencies required to successfully perform the Job Technical Competencies:

1. Should be able to understand and interpret techninal and scientific data.

2. Should have ability to read and understand electriacl schematics.

3. Should have ability to generate fabrication, assmebly data & test jig data (Gerber, Pick & Place, ODB++, ASCII, etc..)

4. Should have strong understanding of PCB layer stackup, material selection, manufacturing & test processes (DFx).

5. Should have excellent knowledge of MS window and MS Office.

6. Knowledge of languages like SKILL, Python etc. for tool automation will be an added advantage.

Non- Technical Competencies:

1. Good writing and communication skills with ability to write valuable technical reports

2. Ability to manage his own time and multitask to achieve project deadlines.

3. Good inetrpersanol and interteam skills to work with electrical. Mechanical & manufacturing teams.

4. Willing to travel domesctically or international as and when required.
