Associate Project Manager - AI - Driven Finance Automation

Role Overview

We are looking for an Associate Project Manager to support the delivery of AI-driven finance and accounting automation initiatives at Acuity Professional. Working closely with and reporting to the Project Manager, you will help coordinate project execution across cross-functional programmers spanning AI engineering, cybersecurity integration, cloud infrastructure, and finance operations.

You will work at the intersection of technology and finance, assisting the Project Manager in turning business objectives into structured delivery plans, coordinating with stakeholders across the UK and India, and helping ensure that intelligent automation solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high quality standard.

This is a supporting delivery role suited to someone building their project management career ready to take ownership of workstreams while learning from and working alongside an experienced Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Delivery Governance

- Support the project lifecycle across AI and automation programmers - from scoping and planning through to go-live and post-implementation review under the direction of the Project Manager.

- Help build and maintain detailed project plans, resource allocation matrices, risk registers, and milestone trackers.

- Apply appropriate methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) based on project complexity and stakeholder requirements.

- Track success metrics and KPIs for each project, and prepare regular progress reports for the Project Manager and senior leadership.

Stakeholder Management

- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for internal stakeholders including finance, compliance, and client services teams,



escalating to the Project Manager where needed.

- Help coordinate steering committee meetings, prepare and present project status updates, and support the management of escalations.

- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders.

AI & Automation Programmer Oversight

- Support delivery of AI-powered solutions including agentic systems, LLM-based tools, RPA pipelines, and financial intelligence platforms.

- Coordinate across data engineering, AI development, cybersecurity, and infrastructure workstreams to ensure coherent delivery.

- Support the management of vendor and third-party relationships where external partners contribute to project delivery.

Risk, Compliance & Quality Management

- Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies, particularly in areas of data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance (including GDPR).

- Help ensure automation solutions adhere to agreed security and compliance frameworks ahead of go-live.

- Help conduct project retrospectives and capture learnings for future delivery.

Team Coordination & Support

- Support onboarding of new team members and coordinate with HR and line managers on day-to-day resourcing needs.

- Support junior project coordinators and analysts within the delivery team.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

- Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, tooling, and governance frameworks.

- Stay current with developments in AI, cloud platforms, and financial automation to inform project strategy.

- Promote project management best practices across the India delivery center.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Project Management

- 3-6 years of project management or project coordination experience,



with at least 1-2 years supporting technology or AI/automation delivery programmers.

- Working knowledge of project management methodologies - CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification (or working towards one) preferred.

- Experience supporting projects with cross-border, cross-functional stakeholder groups.

- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Asana, or equivalent.

Technical Literacy

- Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, automation technologies (RPA, LLMs, agentic AI), and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Ability to engage credibly with technical teams on architecture decisions, integration challenges, and delivery timelines.

- Familiarity with programming workflows (Python, SQL) and data pipeline concepts hands-on coding not required.

- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, data protection, and compliance frameworks relevant to financial services.

Communication & Collaboration

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex technical programmers to senior non-technical audiences.

- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

- Experience working in a captive or shared services environment supporting an international headquarter preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in finance, accounting, or financial services technology projects.

- Exposure to AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) or platform product delivery.
Familiarity with financial systems such as Xero, IRIS, or similar ERP/accounting platforms.

- Prior experience supporting delivery in a UK-headquartered organization with India-based teams.

- Postgraduate qualification (MBA or MTech) in a relevant discipline.
