This internship program is designed to build foundational knowledge in financial products, trade lifecycle management, and fund accounting operations. The program offers hands-on exposure to core financial services processes while developing analytical and operational skills required in the banking and financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Products Understanding
- Develop a basic understanding of financial products, including:
- Equities
- Bonds
- Foreign Exchange (FX)
- Derivatives
- Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs)
- Understand the role and characteristics of various asset classes in financial markets.
2. Trade Lifecycle Management
- Gain exposure to the end-to-end trade lifecycle process.
- Understand the functions and interactions between:
- Front Office
- Middle Office
- Back Office
- Learn trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, and operational controls.
3. Fund Accounting Fundamentals
- Understand the basic concepts of fund accounting.
- Learn Net Asset Value (NAV) calculation principles.
- Develop knowledge of assets, liabilities, and fund valuation processes.
- Support operational activities and reporting requirements as assigned.
4. Operational Support
- Assist teams in day-to-day financial operations and process documentation.
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and performance assessments.
- Support process improvement initiatives and data analysis activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Freshers or recent graduates (B.Com preferred; other relevant disciplines may also apply).
- Robust aptitude for finance, accounting, and business operations.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
