Production Supervisor

Location: AVIVA INDSUTRIES, KNG PUDUR PIRIVU, COIMBATORE

Reporting To: Production Manager

Position Overview

The Floor Supervisor oversees daily production activities on the shop floor, ensuring smooth workflow, adherence to quality standards, safety compliance, and achievement of production targets. The role involves managing operators, setters, and helpers, resolving on-floor issues, and

coordinating with other departments for timely execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor shop floor operations to meet daily production schedules.

• Allocate tasks and manage workforce (operators, setters, helpers) effectively.

• Ensure proper machine setup, functioning, and utilization in coordination with setters.

• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with standards.

• Enforce safety rules, proper use of PPE, and housekeeping (5S).

• Minimize downtime by coordinating with the maintenance team for quick issue resolution.

• Maintain shift logs, production reports, and records of manpower utilization.





• Conduct on-floor training for operators and helpers on safety and process improvements.

• Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance productivity and reduce wastage.

• Act as the communication link between workers and management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma in Mechanical/Production (Graduate preferred), BE.

• Experience: 3-5 years in a supervisory role in manufacturing/production.

• Solid leadership and team management skills.

• Knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and safety norms.

• Ability to read technical drawings and handle shop floor documentation.

• Problem-solving skills and quick decision-making under pressure.

• Willingness to work in shifts and extended hours if required.
