A process engineer is usually needed when confusing problems take place during PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly process, rejection rate miraculously declines or PCBA products go down in terms of quality and manufacturing efficiency.

The leading responsibility of SMT PE can be listed as the following:

- Design manufacturing processes and make MPI (manufacturing process instructions).
- To define SMT assembly process and to upgrade it and also deal with the process abnormalities with best technical skills.
- Expert to Improve Pass rate and decrease the rejection rate for smooth business process also to implement and testify special manufacturing Processes.
- Expert for setting the process parameters implements that process and evaluate new components and new process for production growth and improvement of product quality.
- MPM Printer Programming Knowledge required with knowledge of SPI Programming.
- Knowledge about FUJI- NXT-3, Flexa Programming Knowledge, M-Edit, Accessory software knowledge, should have a knowledge of create shape and also working experience and knowledge for Reflow.
- A surface mount technology (SMT) process engineer generally assist in the production line of a Surface Mount technology.
- Knowledge Feeder Maintenance & experience in Finished product will be inspected by an engineer to assess their quality and also having working experience to handle Troubleshoot process defects and drive toward problem resolution.
- Experience to handle Product functions and also check their quality and working properly or not also Inspect various machinery, tools and materials involved in the process to make sure that they are working properly.
- Monitor the work of individual and to make sure that the work being done with good quality.




- Experience with solder printers, solder re flow, cleaners, and AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) systems.
- Experience with testing (Bend test, Vibration, Drop etc.).
- Knowledge of machining processes along with tooling and design Experience.
- Experience with the specification, selection and validation of equipment for a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with SMT Engineering with high reliability/ high stability electronic products a plus.
- Experience in new product introduction and implementation of continuous improvements on existing products involving complex electronic systems.

Briefly speaking, the task of an SMT PE is to prepare, implement and monitor the whole SMT-assembly process and machine knowledge also required for the same with software Installation and implementation skills Mandatory.

As electronic technology gets constantly upgraded and higher demands are laid to electronic products, the fundamental responsibility of SMT PE maintains unchanged.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Senior-level engineer with Minimum qualification required B. Tech / Diploma minimum 5- 7 years experience or advanced technical degree with less years of experience.
- Preferred Experienced SMT / Mobile /telecom/ manufacturing.
- 3-5+ years of experience with SMT PCB Assembly environments or semiconductor backend processes in a production cleanroom environment is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with confidence rounded Thinker
- Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (i.e., Mobile, Materials, SMT, Production, Manufacturing, and Electronics) or the equivalent in technical training courses and 3-5+ years of relevant experience. Bachelor or Master’s Degree will offset the experience requirement by 3 years
