Job Title: STP Operation & Maintenance Engineer / Technician

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced STP Operation & Maintenance Engineer/Technician
responsible for the smooth operation, monitoring, and maintenance of Sewage Treatment
Plants (STP). The candidate should ensure efficient plant performance, treated water quality,
equipment reliability, safety, and proper documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor STP systems and ensure continuous plant performance.
Monitor pumps, blowers, motors, valves, dosing systems, filters, clarifiers, and other
equipment.

Monitor treatment parameters such as pH, DO, BOD, COD, TSS, MLSS, MLVSS,
SV30, and SVI.

Ensure treated wastewater quality meets applicable CPCB/SPCB standards.
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical and electrical
equipment.

Identify and troubleshoot operational, mechanical, and basic electrical issues.
Monitor chemical dosing, sludge handling, aeration, and disinfection processes.
Maintain daily logbooks, equipment running-hour records, chemical consumption, and




maintenance reports.
Conduct routine inspections and ensure proper housekeeping of the plant.
Coordinate with clients, supervisors, technicians, vendors, and maintenance teams.
Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.
Support installation, commissioning, testing, and performance monitoring when
required.
Required Skills
Robust knowledge of STP and wastewater treatment processes.
Knowledge of MBBR, SBR, ASP, and other STP technologies.
Experience in operating pumps, blowers, motors, valves, and dosing systems.
Basic knowledge of electrical panels, VFDs, and instrumentation.
Good troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
Knowledge of wastewater testing and treatment parameters.
Ability to maintain operational records and prepare reports.
Good communication and team coordination skills.
Qualification & Experience
Qualification: ITI / Diploma / B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental,
Chemical, or related field.

Experience: 2 to 8 years in STP/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation & Maintenance.
