Job Title: HR Generalist
Department: Human Resources
Reporting To: HR Manager / Head of HR
Location: As per business requirement
Job Summary
The HR Generalist is responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, payroll coordination, compliance, performance management, HR administration, and employee relations. The role ensures smooth HR processes while supporting business objectives and maintaining statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process.
- Screen resumes and schedule interviews.
- Prepare offer letters and employment documentation.
- Conduct employee onboarding and induction.
- Ensure completion of joining formalities and documentation.
2. HR Operations
- Maintain employee records and HRIS (e.g., Keka).
- Process employee confirmations, transfers, promotions, and exits.
- Issue HR letters such as appointment, confirmation, experience, and relieving letters.
- Maintain HR policies and employee documentation.
3. Payroll & Attendance
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs.
- Monitor attendance, leave, and regularization.
- Validate payroll data before processing.
- Resolve employee payroll and attendance queries.
4. Employee Engagement
- Organize employee engagement activities.
- Coordinate birthday, anniversary, and festival celebrations.
- Conduct employee surveys and feedback sessions.
- Support employee wellness initiatives.
5. Performance Management
- Coordinate KRA/KPI setting and performance appraisal cycles.
- Track probation reviews and employee confirmations.
- Assist managers in performance improvement initiatives.
6. Compliance & Statutory
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Coordinate PF, ESIC, Gratuity, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain employee compliance records.
- Support internal and external HR audits.
7. Employee Relations
- Address employee grievances and concerns.
- Support disciplinary actions and investigations.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
8. HR Reporting
- Prepare monthly HR dashboards and MIS reports.
- Track recruitment, attrition, headcount, and employee data.
- Generate reports for management review.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources is preferred.
Experience
- 2 - 5 years of experience in Human Resources as an HR Generalist or HR Executive.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of HR operations and labor laws.
- Experience with HRMS/HRIS (Keka preferred).
- Knowledge of payroll processing, PF, ESIC, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
