Role & responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end material planning and procurement activities to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Execute demand planning, MRP, material scheduling, and inventory optimization based on production plans.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of production materials and resolve supply shortages.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery adherence, and inventory levels to maintain production continuity.
- Manage Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), schedule releases, and procurement transactions through SAP MM/ERP.
- Drive inventory optimization through Min-Max planning, safety stock monitoring, and JIT practices.
- Support new product development (NPD) and production launches by ensuring timely material readiness.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, Logistics, and Engineering teams for smooth execution of procurement activities.
- Track engineering changes (ECN), BOM revisions, and ensure procurement aligns with updated specifications.
- Identify supply chain risks, develop alternate sourcing strategies,



and support cost optimization initiatives.
- Prepare procurement MIS, inventory reports, supplier performance reports, and material availability dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and manufacturing processes.

Preferred candidate profile

- 610 years of experience in Material Planning, Production Procurement, or Supply Chain within Automotive/EV Manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of MRP, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Material Scheduling, and Supplier Coordination.
- Hands-on experience in SAP MM or equivalent ERP systems.
- Exposure to production procurement, BOM management, subcontracting, and engineering change management.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Experience in Commercial Vehicle and Bus manufacturing will be preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and manage multiple suppliers and production priorities simultaneously.
