Position Summary

The Quality Leader will own the end-to-end Quality Management System from fabric inward until final packed garment dispatch. The role requires a mature, hands-on and systems-oriented skilled who can build discipline, preventive quality controls and accountability across manufacturing while ensuring customer requirements, approved standards, testing expectations and shipment quality are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end quality assurance across fabric inspection, cutting, sewing, finishing, packing and final dispatch.
- Establish, implement and continuously strengthen the Quality Management System, SOPs, checkpoints, audit systems and quality MIS.
- Drive a Right First Time culture through preventive quality controls, process discipline and early identification of risks.
- Manage PP meetings, size-set reviews, workmanship standards, sealing samples, TOP approvals and bulk quality readiness.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, approved samples, measurement tolerances, AQL standards and inspection requirements.
- Monitor inline, end-line, pre-final and final quality performance and ensure timely closure of all observations.
- Track DHU, rework, rejection, alteration, rescreen and shipment-failure trends and implement improvement plans.
- Lead root cause analysis and CAPA for recurring defects, customer complaints, testing concerns and inspection failures.
- Coordinate with Technical, CAD, Merchandising, Production, Procurement and Stores to resolve quality risks before bulk execution.
- Review fabric, trims, embroidery, printing, washing and finishing quality against approved standards and test requirements.
- Train, guide and discipline QA/QC teams, line checkers, finishing checkers and relevant production personnel.
- Maintain complete quality documentation, traceability records, audit reports,



inspection files and management reporting.
- Represent the company during buyer, third-party and internal quality inspections and ensure qualified closure of findings.

Candidate Profile

- 8-12 years of relevant experience in garment manufacturing quality, with significant responsibility in QA leadership.
- Experience in women's ethnic wear, woven garments, kurtas, co-ord sets or organised apparel manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, measurements, sewing, finishing, fabrics, prints, embroidery, embellishments and packing.
- Sound understanding of AQL, DHU, RFT, RCA, CAPA, process audits, testing requirements and quality documentation.
- Proven ability to lead and develop QA/QC teams while building discipline and accountability on the production floor.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and cross-functional coordination capability.
- Comfortable working with Excel, quality MIS and ERP systems; organised-factory exposure is preferred.
- Mature, stable, ownership-driven and capable of balancing quality standards with practical production realities.

- Consistent achievement of approved customer quality standards from PP stage until final dispatch.
- Reduction in DHU, rework, rejection, alterations, customer complaints and shipment failures.
- Improvement in first-pass quality performance and Right First Time execution.
- Timely closure of quality risks, inspection observations, root causes and CAPA actions.
- Readiness and successful completion of buyer, third-party and internal inspections.
- Accurate and timely quality MIS, audit records, traceability and management reporting.
- Effective implementation of QMS, SOPs, process checkpoints and preventive quality controls.
- Development of a capable, disciplined and accountable QA/QC team.
