Job Description PD Lab (Process Development Lab)
Location: Ankleshwar API Plant
Department: R&D; / Process Development Lab
Designation: Officer / Executive PD Lab
CTC Range: Up to 5.0 LPA

Job Purpose:

To support process development activities for API molecules, including laboratory experiments, process optimization, scale-up activities, and documentation as per cGMP and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform process development experiments, reaction monitoring, and optimization activities for API intermediates and finished products.
- Execute laboratory trials as per experimental protocols and prepare detailed observations.
- Handling of laboratory equipment like reactors, filtration systems, distillation setup, and other process development equipment.
- Support scale-up activities from laboratory stage to pilot plant/commercial manufacturing.
- Perform reaction work-up, purification, crystallization, drying, and process optimization studies.
- Maintain proper documentation including experimental records, protocols, reports, and observations.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, and laboratory practices.
- Coordinate with Production, QC, QA,



and Analytical Development teams for process improvement activities.
- Support troubleshooting activities during technology transfer and validation batches.

Qualification:

- M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry)
- B.Sc. Chemistry candidates with relevant API R&D; / PD Lab experience can also be considered.

Experience:

- 25 Years of experience in API Process Development Lab / R&D; / Pilot Plant.
- Experience in API synthesis, reaction handling, scale-up activities, and cGMP documentation preferred.

Required Skills:

- Positive knowledge of organic synthesis and chemical reactions.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory experiments and process optimization.
- Understanding of cGMP documentation and safety practices.
- Good observation, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.
